Mariart Design Studio recognises the importance of client privacy and support best practice procedures in the way your personal information is handled.

By providing your personal information, you agree and consent to the collection, use, disclosure, storage and holding of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

1. Collection

Mariart Design Studio will only collect personal information that is necessary for providing those services offered on our website.

We may use personal information collected from you for the purpose of providing you with direct marketing material and information in the form of an ENewsletter. Our ENewsletter is distributed through MailChimp. This will only apply if you have registered or subscribed to such publications by registering your details with us. However if you wish to cease receiving any such information you may let us know either by email or mail and your request will be actioned within five working days. Such information which is collected will be held in the strictest confidence.

2. Use and Disclosure

Personal Information we collect will only be used and disclosed for the purposes identified in our website. Should Mariart Design Studio intend on utilising this information for secondary purposes, your express consent would first be obtained.

2a. Disclosure to MailChimp

According to the MailChimp Privacy Policy (at: “[Our] subscriber lists are stored on a secure MailChimp server. [MailChimp] don’t, under any circumstances, sell [our] lists, contact people on [our] lists, market to people on [our] lists, steal [our] lists, or share [our] lists with any other party.” (Sec. 9 – Your Distribution Lists)
“If a security breach causes an unauthorized intrusion into [the MailChimp] system that materially affects…people on [our] Distribution Lists, then MailChimp will notify [us] as soon as possible and later report the action [they] took in response. (Sec. 10 – Notice of Breach of Security) In turn if such a security breach should affect you, then Mariart Design Studio will notify you as soon as possible and later report the action taken in response.

3. Data Quality

Reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that personal information which is collected, used and disclosed is relevant, accurate, complete and up-to-date for the purposes for which it is to be utilised.

4. Data Security

In house safeguards will monitor and maintain personal information to protect against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, destruction and loss. If a security breach causes an unauthorised intrusion into the Mariart system that materially affects you, then Mariart Design Studio will notify you as soon as possible and later report the action we took in response. Furthermore, all information that Mariart Design Studio no longer requires will be destroyed or permanently de-identified to ensure continued protection of your personally identifiable information.

5. Openness

Mariart Design Studio publicly exhibits its personal information practices and management policies. As well as making these guidelines available, Mariart Design Studio will take reasonable steps to bring to your attention what information it holds, for what purposes and how it is collected, as well as uses and disclosures of that information.

6. Access and Correction

Where information is held by Mariart Design Studio regarding an individual, access will be provided upon request, in a form reasonably suitable to the information held, except to the extent that;

Where an individual establishes that the information held about them by Mariart Design Studio is not accurate, complete or up to date, Mariart Design Studio will take reasonable steps to correct that information.

We will provide full access to all personal information you have given to us. If you do not wish to have personal information used for a particular purpose we will not do this.

As such, in order to help us improve our customer service, we utilise cookies in order to statistically track our website’s performance. We collect anonymous information from users of our website including monitoring the domains from which people visit and measuring visitor activity.
